IMX History

IMX was founded in the mid - 1990's by Steve Fraser, a mortgage loan broker who believed there was a better way to communicate rate and product information among brokers and mortgage lenders. His vision became IMX Exchange, the first electronic loan trading network for the wholesale mortgage industry.

Today, IMX Exchange is the largest business-to-business marketplace for the wholesale mortgage industry, with over 10,000 originator members representing over 2,600 mortgage brokerages in 47 states, as well as a broad network of national, regional and local lenders members.

In 2000, the United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded the company patent #5,995,947 for its unique loan information and real-time trading system. Fraser's vision has been recognized with Mortgage Technology magazine's annual Steve Fraser Award for Excellence in Technology, created in his honor.

IMX has grown significantly from its beginnings. In 2001, IMX introduced IMX Private Label Pricing System for lenders. This exciting product leverages IMX's pricing technology to bring Internet efficiencies to mortgage professionals nationwide.
